GT-SIMPAY is an innovative product which allows customers to interact directly with their bank account(s) and transact easily, using their mobile phone. Transactions are done faster and easier on a secured platform without any internet data required and it is available 24/7.

The product is available in unique platforms:

The Overlay – is a thin flexible terminal (SIM) that is attached to existing SIM card and reinserted into the mobile device. The personal identification details of users will be collected and used to create the user profile for the service. No internet is required for the complete activation and operation

The Mobile Application – is an android enabled mobile application that is installed on smart phones within few minutes and ready to use. It can be downloaded through the link provided on our website, from Google Play Store or shared via Bluetooth and easily installed like every other application. Users should have internet data to install and activate the application but do not require any internet data to operate it.

HOW TO GET STARTED

The Overlay - Simply visit any of our 15 GTBank branches nationwide to get the overlay, provide your details and activate instantly. To activate the overlay, simply remove your SIM card from the phone, properly align and attach the Overlay on the SIM card, reinsert the SIM card on mobile phone. Once your account is activated, quickly change your password from the default 5 digits to a new 6 digit secret password and start transacting.

*Note - If the Overlay in not properly aligned on the SIM card you will experience connection issues with your mobile phone.

The Mobile Application - Simply download the App through the following link also on our website - https://www.torrapk.com/en/apps/28-bank-and-finance/13265-SIMPAY, from Google Play Store or shared via Bluetooth and easily install it like every other application. Click on the APK file to install it then select Open, English, Initialize, Sierra Leone and GTBank. Once the App initialize, input your full name (as it is on your bank account) and your full account number (201311xxxx110 or 208208xxxx1590). You will receive a 6 digit default PIN via SMS to input in the “ENTER PIN” field, then select next for the App installation to complete.

*Note - Like all other mobile applications, the phone needs internet connections to install this Application. After installation, no internet connection is required to perform transactions.
HOW TO CHANGE YOUR PIN

Simply select GT-SIMPAY on your STK menu and select Banking, then select Telecom and your service provider and select Change PIN. You then input the default PIN (12345) and your new PIN (must be 6 digits). Then verify the new PIN and select OK to authorize the change. You will receive a success SMS

Banking just got simpler with ease, security and speed

You can initiate and authorize various banking transactions from wherever you are in Sierra Leone 24/7 with you 6 digit secret password. Banking Services include balance check, funds transfer and bill payment.

HOW TO CHECK YOU ACCOUNT BALANCE

Select GT-SIMPAY on your menu and select Banking, then select balance then enter your 6 digit secret PIN and select Ok to authorize the transaction. You will receive a success SMS to confirm the transaction

HOW TO TRANSFER FUNDS
Transfer between your own GTBank accounts

Select GT-SIMPAY on your menu and select Banking, then select Transfer your accounts. Select the account you want to transfer from and then select the account you want to transfer to. Input the transaction amount and confirm then input your 6 digit secret PIN and select Ok to authorize the transaction. You will receive a success SMS to confirm the transaction

Transfer to other GTBank account

Select GT-SIMPAY on your menu and select Banking, then select Transfer other GTBank account. Select the account you want to transfer from and then input the account number you want to transfer to. Input the transaction amount and confirm then input your 6 digit secret PIN and select Ok to authorize the transaction. You will receive a success SMS to confirm the transaction

Transfer to other Banks

Select GT-SIMPAY on your menu and select Banking, then select Transfer other Banks. Select the account you want to transfer from and then input the BBAN of the customer in the other bank you want to transfer to. Input the transaction amount and confirm then input your 6 digit secret PIN and select Ok to authorize the transaction. You will receive a success SMS to confirm the transaction

HOW TO

Pay Bills

Select GT-SIMPAY on your menu and select Pay Bill, then input the bill or account number (e.g. 2022022233110) and additional information if needed. Select the account you want to pay from, input the transaction amount and confirm, then input your 6 digit secret PIN and select Ok to authorize the transaction. You will receive a success SMS to confirm the transaction

Pay for goods and services

Select GT-SIMPAY on your menu and select Payments, then select Pay Merchant. Enter the Merchant code/number (e.g. 300112) and select the account you want to pay from. Input the transaction amount and confirm then input your 6 digit secret PIN and select Ok to authorize the transaction. You will receive a success SMS to confirm the transaction

Pay for Prepaid Electricity

Select GT-SIMPAY on your menu and select Payments, then select VendTech Electricity. Enter the meter number (e.g. 02258631010) and select the account you want to pay from. Input the transaction amount and confirm then input your 6 digit secret PIN and select Ok to authorize the transaction. You will receive a success SMS to confirm the transaction and the electricity token to recharge the meter

HOW TO

Self top-up airtime

Select GT-SIMPAY on your menu and select Recharge, and then select the service provider you want to recharge on. Enter the mobile number you want to recharge for and select the account you want to pay from. Input the transaction amount and confirm then input your 6 digit secret PIN and select Ok to authorize the transaction. You will receive a success SMS to confirm the transaction.

Top-up for others

Select GT-SIMPAY on your menu and select Recharge, and then select the service provider you want to recharge on. Enter the mobile number you want to recharge for and select the account you want to pay from. Input the transaction amount and confirm then input your 6 digit secret PIN and select Ok to authorize the transaction. You will receive a success SMS to confirm the transaction

GT-eCheque

With GT-eCheque, account holders can issue electronic cheque to anyone with a mobile phone, whether you have a GTBank account or not. The electronic cheque is encrypted in 16 digits and is accompanied by a 6 digit unique PIN to access the eCheque. The eCheque can be redeemed at any Agent/Merchant outlet nationwide, reissued to another person or deposited into an account with the bank.

HOW TO

Issue Electronics Cheque from Account

Select GT-SIMPAY on your phone menu and select GT-eCheque, then select Issue and enter a 6 digit secret code. Enter the destination phone number and select the account you want to transact from, then input the transaction amount and confirm, input your 6 digit secret PIN and select Ok to authorize the transaction. You will receive a success SMS to confirm the transaction

Deposit Electronics Cheque into Account

Select GT-SIMPAY on your phone menu and select GT-eCheque, then select Deposit eCheque, enter the account you want to deposit the eCheque and enter the 16 digit eCheque number, and then enter the 6 digit secret code that accompanied the eCheque originally received. Confirm the transaction, input your 6 digit secret PIN and select Ok to authorize the transaction. You will receive a success SMS to confirm the transaction

Withdraw Electronics Cheque from Agent/Merchant

Select GT-SIMPAY on your phone menu and select GT-eCheque, then select Withdraw and enter the 16 digit eCheque number and then enter the 6 digit secret code. Enter the Agent/Merchant number and input the transaction amount and confirm, input your 6 digit secret PIN and select Ok to authorize the transaction. You will receive a success SMS to confirm the transaction.
