Following a large fire that destroyed several houses belonging to the Prison workers on 7th May, 2015, the Bank donated mabati, timber, poles, nails, doors, cement, and door frames to help salvage the situation by building new houses. The Bank also separately donated Kes 60,000.00 to help renovate the kitchen. Other items donated included detergents, rakes, assorted toys, knitting fabric, bids, foodstuff, and toiletry. The sponsorship gave the Bank employees an opportunity to learn from the prisoners’ lives experiences.
